Tessy's POV
So, J and I met on August 25th, 2018, a few days before my birthday (August 27th). People might not believe this, but I saw J in my dreams years even before we met (crazy, I know). The day we met, I was returning from work on that rainy night, contemplating whether to take the bus. Then came this tall, dark, and handsome man 🤠lol. I remember he asked me out to get breakfast, and I immediately told him I’m not a breakfast girl (had to be honest lol) then he chuckled and suggested dinner. So he took me out for dinner on my birthday, and the rest, like they say, is history.
The Proposal
J gave me the proposal of my dreams! Anyone that knows me, knows how much I love to be around my family. In January of 2022, we held a remembrance ceremony for my parents. A few days after the remembrance, we planned to take a family photo and go for a celebratory dinner at a restaurant with the family. So I got dressed up (I was told it was going to be an all-white outfit), and got to the restaurant, and behold, my entire family, with close friends were seated in this nice dinner setting, with my man standing right in front. He took my hands, and in front of my family, friends, and family priest, went on one knee and asked me to be his wife on January 11th, 2022. That was one surprise I didn’t quite see coming, and this surprise came with a lot of happy tears.
James' POV
I have always said, that T and I had a spiritual connection (story for another day). The moment I met her, I thought she was such an innocent lady, but that quickly changed lol. I remember asking her out for breakfast and she told me right there and then that she doesn’t do breakfast. I thought that was funny but more than that, I thought that was her being honest and comfortable around me. To date, that hasn’t changed and anyone who knows T knows that she’s very vocal about what she wants, and I think that was what attracted me to her.
The Proposal
Asking T to be my wife was something I knew would happen, and it was just a matter of right timing. Months before I popped the question, I called Osasu, Nicola, and Barbara and spoke to them about my intentions. They assisted with the ring selection and helped plan the proposal. We started the day with a family photo shoot and then told T and the family that it would be a great idea to have a nice dinner afterward. I got to the restaurant with her family seated waiting patiently for her to come in. I think she was running late (as usual lol), but then, there she was in a white dress walking down, and I still remember the look on her face (and the tears). The night was just perfect because we were in the midst of family and it went better than I even imagined.
